Card Shark (Christian Schenk) in Germany has just re-published his medieval tarot deck. It is "pre-aged," but I assume that it will handle like his other special decks which he sells. There is also an Extension Set of special cards for those doing trickery with a tarot deck. This deck is quite unusual; there may be bizarre applications for it.

This deck looks interesting for someone looking for an unusual tarot deck. The link is:

Thanks for posting the link, Bill. This one has been out of stock for a long time. It's a great deck and I highly recommend it!

Jorey, what do you think of this deck in terms of looking old but feeling brand new?

I have this Deck and one of the expansion set of cards. I really like the look of the deck, but as David mentioned the deck looks old but feels brand new. I will probably also get the other expansion set of cards to go with this deck.

They have a new look to them that one cannot deny. I think it's a personal thing about how you perform and what you like in terms of aged props. I tend to lean towards real aged props, but this is a classic deck and I've had it for awhile. Sometimes one needs a deck that co-operates!
Hope that helps!

I have two of these decks that I use for serious readings.

An afternoon spent with some fine grit sandpaper, an old wooden plank, and lots of shuffling made the 'feel' of the decks match their look.

I've never had anyone question them.

Enjoy!

This is the deck I use. I use it 'right out of the box' and have never had anyone question it. Then again, I don't try to pass if off as anything other than it is--a deck of Tarot cards that look beautiful and interesting. Old? New? doesn't matter in my presentation.

It is, btw, a m****d deck, and while I find that aspect very useful (especially when using DarkSpell), there are some who think that the m***ings are too difficult to read (especially in low light conditions). This has not been a problem for me, and I can personally recommend this deck (though there are other very beautiful decks out there--particularly the one that Lucien Astor makes (made?)--that may also suit your needs).
