Jan, I originally had the same problem, but search the page (Ctrl+f) for "own it". This is the button that adds to your cart.

That's a subtle point that might be helpful to Marshall -- non-native English speakers will be looking for a button labeled with a verb like "Buy" or "Purchase".
"Own it!" is more stylish, but potentially less clear to your customers in other lands, and it may result in missed sales. |

Hey guys,
Thanks for the advice on the website. The original problem was a lack of jpg. Without it, the layout on the website does not work and the buttons become jumbled on the far left. I still don't have an image of the cover, so I used the jpg of Volume 3, so the page is fixed. That is what Jan was talking about. I did that as soon as I read the thread. I have my webmaster looking into changing the Own It button to a "Add to Cart" button. Either way, it is now in the correct lower right corner. Sorry for the trouble! Hello Everyone,
I was wondering whether someone could please describe Trost's effect, "Total Card-Matching Routine." What does the spectator see? Can it be done impromptu? Any info you can provide on this trick is appreciated. Thank you |

Dr JK posted it in the Book Gems thread in the Secret Sessions forum:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/searc......=7793008 But since this is Trost's own description, it can be pasted here as well: Total Card-Matching Routine by Nick Trost from Subtle Card Creations, Volume 3, pg. 596 “A spectator riffle shuffles the deck, and then the performer divides the deck so the spades and hearts are in one half, the clubs and diamonds in the other. Now, one half is spread face up, and the spectator thinks of a card. The performer first lays a prediction card face down onto the table. The spectator’s thought-of card is placed with the performer’s card. The same procedure is repeated with a second thought-of card. Then, the performer and the spectator each cut to a card. On showing the cards, all three pairs match! In the second phase, the spectator reverses a card in one half-deck, and then the cards from both halves are turned face up in unison; the only two cards to match are the spectator’s reversed card and the card at the corresponding position in the other half. In the final phase, the performer deals one of the half-decks and shows how the cards can be ‘mixed’ by switching two cards at various points. He then deals the cards again, making switches at points called for by the spectator. Now, when cards are dealt from both halves, all the pairs match!” Nope, not impromptu. |

I can't wait either Peo!
In the meantime here are some beauties from other volumes: Diminishing Poker Deal, v.3 pp. 695-697 Steve Forte's version of Nick Trost's High Card Poker Deal, v.3, pp. 692-693 Seven Card Stud Using High Cards, v.3, pp. 687-688. Three Way Do As I Do, v.3, pp. 606-608 Fly Circus, v.3, pp. 806-811 Super Split, v.3, pp. 771-774 Quadruple Match Up, v.2, pp. 305-307 Quick Ace Opener, v.2, pp. 362-363 Topsy-Turvy Aces, v.2, pp. 363-364 A Stacking Demonstration, v.2, pp. 389-392 The Sub-Trunk Mystery, v.2, pp. 465-467 The Ambitious Jacks, v.2, pp. 471-473 Face to Face Cioncidence, v.2, pp. 552-554 Jazz 1-2-3-4 Revisited, v.1, pp. 145-146 Fifteen Card Mystery, v.1, pp. 150-151 Trost's Open Prediction, v.1, pp. 153-154 Revolving Aces - A Clean Version, v.1, pp. 154-156 Destiny Deck, v.1, pp. 173-176 Obviously there are many more, but I selected these in an attempt to cover a lot of bases if anyone wishes to explore. Some are FASDIU, Some require a small set up easily done on the fly, one requires that you create a deck - easily done, one or two require extensive setups but the effects are strong openersor closerrs, and one uses ESP cards. Come on volume 4!!!!!!!!!!!! Namaste, Vlad |

The books have been shipped from the printers, so we are hoping to get them next week. If I get them before we leave for Magi-Fest, they will ship next week. If not, they will ship the following Monday. The pre-publication special ends Thursday the 24th, so now is the time to take advantage of it. Thanks for your continued interest in the magic of Nick Trost!
