Just saw the Captain and Coke coin trick for sale. Would this be a good trick for someone who doesn't do a lot of coin work? Thanks, Jim

I believe it's just Scotch N Soda but different coins. Scotch and Soda is very very easy.

It's very easy and basically self working! Makes working on presentation a cinch.

For those who haven't seen it, heres the trailer for Captain & Coke 2.0, which was released a few weeks ago:

And here's one of the routines possible (bare bones performance):

FYI, I believe 2.0 is a magnetic scotch and soda type coin where the original was not magnetic.

The trailer looks good! I hope and look forward that the tric will made also in Euro's. It will be interesting for me. I have always strange feelings when I work with 'another differentd coins' that isn't using in my country, without a good reason.

But the coins look wonderfull and really clean!

I highly recommend getting Captain and Coke 2.0 (magnetic), because (on the contrary of Scotch and Soda) a quarter and a penny are regular coins that people would recognize. Not once has someone asked to examine my Captain and Coke before the routine. Anyway, I like Captain and Coke 2.0 because I get wonderful reactions when they open up their hand and see a bent penny that they can KEEP, and they are even more surprised when I open up my and and show a bent quarter that was shown to be normal when they were holding it. They can KEEP both of the coins, and not many coin gaff routines have this feature. Smile

I recommend this, but the gimmick is kind of visible on SOME coins, but don't worry. If you keep the coin in motion, (natural motion...not just waving the coin around really fast) then the spectator will not catch it at all.
