Hi Friends,

I'm seeking help with a research question. Max Maven's Parallax columns were fantastic wayyyy back in the early days of MAGIC. I'm in NYC far away from my back issues, and I'm trying to track down perhaps his most controversial essay, which was on amateurs vs. professionals. If anyone has a citation for what issue that was in, it would be most helpful.

AND, although off-topic, I'm also seeking an essay Al Schneider wrote on magic, which I remember he released as part of a free PDF which I can no longer find. Any help that you could email me directly at joshua@joshuajay.com would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh
