Great story Wizard, kudos Richard for taking the time to do that. I had plans to attend that convention but had to bail due to a work commitment. How was the event overall?

Richard at the rate you are rebuilding the collection this is probably not needed but keep in mind I am sure there are several of us that would ship and loan you missing items for research purposes if needed. Not the same as owning them but an option if needed.

I, too, spent some time talking Tenyo with Richard, who gave me a bit of grief for not posting here more often. I thought that Josh and Andi did a really nice job with Magi-Fest - lots of good content, and a chance to schmooze with the Chief Genii!

I agree Mark. Magi-Fest seems to be back with a vengeance. Good energy, and the lectures had a nice, professional feel to them. Dealer room was a bit cramped, but people seemed to be buying. I know I left with a lighter wallet.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Thanks for the offer, John. There is actually a collector who is little known that I believe has everything, and I might go to his place and do a photo shoot, but that's all still a ways off.

I believe Magi-Fest will be in a different hotel next year, with bigger dealers area.

I think I picked the wrong time to take a break from here (as we can't always control the timing of events in life). There have been many interesitng things going on here.

What a great idea Richard Smile.

Congrats to the winners and also a thanks to Richard for being so cool.

The post seems to have vanished before I can reply, I don't know why, but I want to say Thank you to Richard to have make a donation on my blog. It really is very nice and makes me well.
Thank you To John Mazza too have who also made a contribution, although he had already participated a lot in the past by sending me photos or information to complete the blog.

That is weird, the posts by Stereo, Nicolino, Richard K. and myself has all vanished. Like some kind of magic trick. I wonder if it was a back-up problem or if they deleted it due to the content. ???

I think Nicolino posted something like "Has no one pushed the donate button?"

And then Stereo posted something like "Just one push of the button so far, I have to thank that person."

Then Richard posted something like "Well I can take care of that right now."

And then I posted something like "I added my two cents. I think it would be good if all sellers contributed."

And then I posted something like "I hesitate to use the phrase that I coined here last year, but the vibe is very good here lately. This is fun."

And I posted a new graphic with a new phrase.

Now that I look back at my posts I see that more than a few were lost. There must have been a problem and then they restored from the last back-up which didn't have the most recent posts.

I think an entire topic is missing. Wasn't there a topic about Canadian Seller Selling Off in Lots.

Maybe that was deleted because of the use of the "E-site" word.

Are we not allowed to use the "E-site" word?

I usually try to say the big auctions site, but sometimes I forget.

Maybe there were a lot of occurrences of the "E-site" word and that set off a flag.

Why would anyone care if we talk about Ebay??

I am not sure if that is so that we can't mention the "E-site", I may be thinking of a slot car board I used to frequent.

I know people use "the big auction site" and that is more to type.

Maybe they want us to use the Buy/Sell/Trade sections and the big auction site competes with that.

Maybe I am totally wrong on this.

I am not sure.

Does this collector you speak of have the Break Away Fan and Magic Coaster? I don't know of anyone who has them. There is barely one tiny picture of each on Stereo's site.

Oh boy, Ed it was nice knowing you.

I was just looking at: A few rules to remember
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=39&0
excerpt: "No matter what forum is used, absolutely No posts advertising or referencing items (whether with or without links) to auction sites such as Ebay (the only exception would be linking to an auction site which is currently a Café sponsor and has a banner on our website). "

And I also looked at: Some posting guidelines
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=39&0
excerpt: "If you're tempted to: Post a funny message... Please think twice... These posts will be edited or deleted with no questions asked

So you are a double offender with your post above and you will be banished to never never land. ;-)

I will be going right after you, it seems that I have broken at least half of the rules.

But seriously, looking at these two topics will give you a guideline of what they expect from us as members of this great free forum.

I've posted links to ebay auctions here and it has never seemed to be a problem. What the rules seem designed to avoid is someone who is selling stuff on ebay posting the links here, or coming on here under a different name so we don't know he or she is the seller and shilling stuff. I don't that's happened in our little group.

Not sure about that. His collection, in sheer size, dwarfs anything I've ever seen.
