My wife managed to find a very cool gift for me this Christmas.

She bought for me a nice old Doctor bag from the 40s. It even had a bunch of old instruments inside. It turns out the guy who owned the bag was known for perfecting frog breathing for partially paralyzed polio patients.

Here is some of the info about the bag:
This bag and the instruments are from the estate of the late Dr Clarence W. Dail. In 1947, Dr. Dail, while working at the Los Angeles' Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, perfected Glossopharyngeal breathing (GPB), also called "Frog Breathing", or a substitute way of breathing. This method of breathing was taught to partially paralyzed polio patients. An article was published 1951 in the journal California Medicine.

This bag will be perfect for carrying around some bizarre objects!

I will try and take some pics and post them soon.

I will try and get it set up on a table with all the instruments and take some pics tonight. If the camera battery has a charge that is.

Ok, here is my first attempt to post a picture. I think I will want to get the rest of the Lun@ books now, they would be great to take out of the doctor bag.

Sorry for the large size of the picture.

Wow! Thanks for the post; it is a great find. I had a similar find on ebay a couple years, but your is much nicer. Mine sat in a closet all this time; now I know what to do with it (after I get rid of the persistent mildew). I like how your case has a used, but not abused, look. Great! Have fun with it.

There is a small section of about 2 inches near the top that the stitching has failed, but I will use a bit of leather contact cement to prevent it from coming apart anymore than it has.

It actually smells very nice inside, no mold or mildew smell.

I think it might be Rino skin leather.

I can imagine telling a story that it belonged to a Doctor who worked at a certain asylum.

Looks incredible.
Perfect for LUN@.

Thinking of getting one by myself cause I already ordered LUN@ and that would be so good to take them out before performance.

I'm actually a physician and use a classic "doctor's bag" as my prop carrier, which when sat alone on a small table creates a nice atmosphere. I think you're on to something with this antique bag. Those tools look like they're in great condition as well. Congrats and Merry Christmas!
