I understand. I was just griping about the incompetence of politicians.

Dick Oslund, YN2--1951-1955 Boot at Great Lakes - YN A School-Norfolk - NAS NorVa Personnel office, then Ordnance Division Officer's Yeoman - Later transferred to Armed Forces Staff College NorVa as First Lieutenant's Yeoman.
Never was assigned to a ship! (Couldn't make First Class as I had no sea duty)
Joined at age 19. Grew up a lot, learned a lot, matured a lot (I think!) and got a college scholarship out of it.

NO COMPLAINTS! With four years in Norfolk, I was active in the local magic scene. "Worked" at the old EdMar Magic Shop. Had a "vest pocket" agent booking club dates for me. Just before I was due for discharge, I booked "a whole bunch" of Norfolk schools. Day after discharge, I spent some weeks playing the dates.
After college and a few years working for the Boy Scouts of America, I started playing school assemblies until I retired a few years ago.
I'm 81. I still do an occasional date. At Jon Racherbaumer's insistence, I'm now pounding this infernal electrisch peckenclacker. (I'm writing a book of my "adventures on the road"!)

I AM TRYING TO LOCATE ROBERT MONTGOMERY BLUE. We were both high school magicians and good friends,in the late '40s. He joined Air Force and I joined Navy. I lost all contact shortly after. I would dearly love to find him, or find out what may have happened to him.

In the court of King Neptune I am a card carrying "Golden Shellback", and I have official documents to prove it.

Became a Trusty Shellback in '83 on Coral Sea. Just south of Singapore, before we went through the Ditch.

Any other's or are ya all slimy wog's?

Is the Golden Shellback card different from mine? Would like to see a photo if you can post it. And congrats!

Any Subic City Slummers out there? Momma Gloria, Vicky No.1, duck pins and San Miguel.
