I was driving at an industrial park today. The area is known as "Workshop" (yeah we use English here too). Well I spotted the area Caféteria...and its called "Worksoup". I find that funny and cute. Any other good real-world examples?

My favorite name for a fast food restaurant is "Scarf & Barf". No such place that I know of but is the name of choice for my business (were I ever to have a business).

We've all seen those funny signs on the freeway that say "Food & Gas" next exit.

I've seen a roadside Café named "Eat".

There is a business complex in Birmingham, owned by one of the original MTV VJs that combines office space and studio space with a theater and lounge. It is called, Workplay. I performed there on many occasions.

When I lived in Detroit there was a restaurant called Uptown Charlie's. It was affectionately know as as Up Chucks.
The food was good.

In the early 80's in Brisbane Queensland there was a business on the main thoroughfare that for years had it's name proudly painted over two stories - AIDS. Within months of the name taking on a new meaning the business had a whole new exterior and the acronym was gone - they were now Australian Industrial Design Staircases. About the time Lucozade changed their slogan from 'aids recovery' to 'replaces lost energy'.

In Massachussetts a number of years ago there was an ambulance company named "Poor Ambulance Service." The owner's name happened to be Peter Poor.

Aside from that, I like The Road Kill Café. We had one in upstate New York (Saratoga Springs) for a while.
