I've just returned home from The Session convention. A fantastic few days with some excellent magicians. For me one of the standout groups was the extremely talented and tremendously friendly chaps from magicalsleight.

The guys very kindly provided every registrant with Issue Zero of their new magazine. They now have my cash as a very satisfied new subscriber. In this day and age, there is still something to be said for receiving a package through the post. Needless to say I will be waiting with baited breath for issue one to arrive. I have no doubt that it will live up to the high standard set by issue zero.

Long may this magazine continue. I'm proud to support what I firmly believe has the potential to be the pabular of my generation!
Thanks again to Father Alex who, through a great accident, helped inspire a great new twist on one of my favourite effects to date!
All the best,
Stephen Shaw

The Bullfrog issue 2 is now available on http://www.magicalsleight.com

This issue is quite special has it features only items that don't use playing cards ! We've work hard on this one and it shows : 5 unpublished items by MS Team and friends.

Content :

  • Equilibrium : an impossible looking equilibrium structure with everyday objects
  • Smoking kills : an impossible equilibrium featuring a pack of cigarettes and 2 cigarettes, everything can be borrowed.
  • 7 wonders : One of your friend is on a trip around the world, your spectators guess which one of the new 7 wonders he is about to visit.
  • Influence : The game is simple using one bill and two envelopes. The spectator has three chances to guess in which envelope the bill is. At the end, the magician has always been a step ahead.
  • Once uppon a time : an Android/iPhone application based on a story telling game. You tell them a story and end it up by revealing a thought of word. Nothing written down.
  • Manu Jo's interview : An interview of Manu Jo, you'll get a glimpse at his way of seeing magic and its creation process

+ The gimmicks that make it all work Smile

Get your hands on it while the supply lasts!

Hi Father Alex,

Is this magazine still available? I see there is a website in the works. Do you have a go live date for the site?

Thanks,

Marty
