Hi,
It has been many years since I needed to replace my ketchup bottle (a testament to the Neilson quality), but the time has come and it seems the original Neilson Heinz ketchup bottle no longer exists?? All I can find are bottles for a generic (and to be honest, tacky) looking bottle. Was this due to a Heinz trademark or patent infringement? If so, the coke bottles still live... Anyway, if someone could point me to any remaining dealers that still have the heinz version of the ketchup bottle, please pass it along. Much appreciated!! |

Marc, Norm is no longer making the Heinz bottles because of copyright/trademark issues. Best of luck on your search.

I noticed that the real glass Heinz bottles had been replaced with plastic bottles at the Café I frequent. The owner tells me the glass bottles are no longer made.

That could throw a damper on things in the future
when people quit seeing these bottles around anymore. |

I Have my 2 original Nielson Bottles and you can color copy the labels at a sign shop where they do vinyl printing and have a bunch of them done for a modest price |

I had one and I sold it for $500.00. A product like this really puts you in the drivers seat when someone MUST have one...

Bowers has a good point. The strength of the vanish relies on the spectator assuming glass because that's what ketchup bottles are always made of. The more plastic they see in the real world, the less likely they are to think glass. That leaves the beer bottles, in my opinion, and maybe the old coke bottle if you are going to do a my grandpa did this trick presentation.

But nothing in people's ' experience suggests coins are anything less than solid. That is increasingly less true of ketchup bottles.

Good point Marc. I've been considering parting with my Heinz Ketchup Bottle and 10 sets of original Static Cling Vinyl labels.
