Hi all,
Since half a year I've started with magic as a hobbyist, and I've been reading this forum without posting because I didn't have enough knowledge(confidence) to contribute. I don't know if this is the right place to do but I just wanted to share this one with everybody. Since I've started magic, I've ordered some things from Penguin Magic. Usually they ship the same day of the order, and the items arrive from US>Belgium in 2-3 days max. Also my latest order, they shipped the same day, but after 2 weeks I still didn't receive anything. After contacting PM and Fedex it seemed that Fedex lost my package and didn't know where to look for it. Another week passed, and after several telephones and emails to Fedex they could recover the package and send it to me. When I received the package I was very worried since the outside box was completely destroyed. I seemed Fedex drove over it??? Inside the package, half of the contents was damaged (wrinkled, wet, torn, ...) I contacted Penguin Magic to see what we could do about this and what I encountered was the most excellent customer service I've ever experienced! Even it wasn't their fault, every problem was solved and much more! Just wanted to let all of you know this because it's not always bad customer service ! Peter |

I once emailed their customer service to ask which brand of IET they sold was the best in their opinion. Not only did they respond with some suggestions, but they also added a instant download video on working with IET to my user account for free. I've always felt like they make every effort to go above and beyond for their customers.

I love Penguin magic. It’s my first go-to. Very fast service, always has been less than a week. They’ve actually called me at home just to make sure that what they were sending was exactly what I wanted (special request). Nice folks!

I too was a huge proponent of Penguin, but have seen their usual great service begin to faulter these last few months. After an unanswered email and private message on here, I may need to investigate new online options.

Not too long ago they were having technical issues with email and chat. I would try again. I have been very happy with Penguin.

I sent messages at the beginning of the week and still no reply. I have used the online chat option in the past for general and product questions, but this goes beyond that. I would go the route of calling the customer service line, but that is one of the issues I wanted to bring to their attention. Penguin representatives have had time to come on the Café and hype the new products but not even read my pm. What's sad is that I was interested in three of those products but am now waiting to purchase until I at least get some form of response.

I think Penquin is #1 of all the dealers.
Acar should have a statue of him in the Magic Hall of Fame. Some constructive suggestions. Cool Box started as a great idea but lost it's appeal. Go back to the concept.

Again, up until a few months ago I would've totally agreed with the positive comments, but still no reply to my email or even a reading of my pm. I even tried to use the online chat feature and had a good connection. The representative told me to send him my issues in an email and he would make sure they get resolved or at least read, but again still no response. At this point I just want to know the business I give money to and get emails from every week saying they care about their customers' experience can put their money where their mouth is. How hard would it be to send a message saying they at least got mine and can understand my points or heck that they think I'm wrong.

Penguin is above and beyond, in good customer service! Pjarnold, are you in the USA? The only difficulties I have heard are overseas and non-USA purchases. This is usually not Penguin's fault. So much SPAM and abuse of emails has caused companies like AOL to block certain messages.

I, too, had a shipping issue with Penguin. I contacted them. The made it right, immediately. Very impressive.

Just to update, everything was taken care of. I know everyone loves talking about Acar's awesome customer responses, but I would like to sing the praises of Chris at Penguin this time. He started to answer my concerns on the penguin chat box but then even had me send him a direct email so he could personally follow up. Totally saved my positive opinion about Penguin.
