Ring 129 had its annual banquet on January 12th.

It was great to meet our International Presidents, John Pye and his wife that night.

We also had a wonderful list of talent for our Magician of the Year for Stage.

Jay Temant(sic?) won with a delightful competition act that many of you may have already seen throughout the USA. Even more impressive than the act was this young man's knowledge of principles of magic and his willingness to share in the green room. Chris Black came in 2nd with a very up to date idea using technology. Steve Steiner mixed the old and new and came in 3rd.

Roger Miller as usual delighted and connected well with this audience. Chuck R and his wife brought memories of the past. Chuck was the owner of Astra Magic, the first magic shop I had contact with back in the 70's. I believe a younger Tom Burgoon was one of the demonstrators.

The folks behind the scenes like Duane (and Janie)Fields Alan Goodheart, Kirk Deweese, Dennis Burks and many others really put on a wonderful event.

An even funnier, Tom Burgoon was perfect as the evening's M.C.
