I did a search here and had very little luck.....but, I was looking at an old TT video. Dave Hudspath did a zillion beginner videos (sold for a long time, alongside beginner tricks/devices). Who is he/was he? Does he still work? What's his history? Outside those videos, I haven't heard much about him. He has that really great pitchman "way" about him!

Just curious.
His face isn't really this long in-person!

Dave started here in Akron, Ohio and then moved to West Virginia. His business was called Hampton Ridge. He sold everything to Gramham Putman of Fun Inc. of Chicago. Dave got out of the magic business and into computers about 6 years ago.

OK......cool. I think I knew that Hampton Ridge was no more, but I guess I'd forgotten.

My friend Richard has confused David Hudspath with David Suit. David Suit did originate Hampton Ridge Magic as his post says. David Hudspath appeared in many beginning magic DVDs, whose titles often started with "25 tricks with . . .", which were shot and produced by David Suit, DBA Hampton Ridge.
I am happy to say that David Hudspath is still an avid student of magic, although by his own admission, he rarely performs. He has a number of packaged tricks still available, among them is "Dream On." He is a regular contributor at our Saturday Akron Ohio round-table, and his thinking and magical problem-solving are second to none. I am honored to say that my performance is better as a result of the work and contributions of David Hudspath.
