Anyone know who used to make the Golden Penetration Frames that were made in the 90's?

On another forum at the Café people complained bout never getting whatthey ordered or getting what looked like junk..bad finish and not really the advertised brass.http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=33373&forum=109&8&start=0#7

I really would like a nice looking frame but not the very pricey Owens ones.

I had one made in the 1960s. Possibly by Royal. Kind of a purple color. I could do it close up and on stage and always killed with it. And I still have it. You can buy cheap knockoffs for $1 and the ones in the magic marketplace sell from $3-10 but are poorly made, easy to detect and it is a shame.

And people are performing it poorly and then revealing it all over the internet. This kid is especially bad but his frame, though plastic, looks pretty nice and he uses cool cards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1EYaTMFjvM

They all emphasize the solid glass in the center but I always tap all over the plastic/glass, not drawing special attention to the center.

I also liked using a pencil with no eraser or top so I could pull it all the way through and out the other side. It was more impressive than pushing it in a few inches and backing it out.

I would do a card effect that required two people to each pick a card. When I took them back after the trick those were the cards I used in the frame. They had been holding them and knew they were solid.

I did a couple of different patters. One discussed the scientific properties of the plexiglass that allowed it to dematerialize in the dark. The other was for kids and said the sheet of plastic was shy and could only perform its magic in hiding.
