I've searched and read several threads here at the Café on this topic.

I've found products noted that burn for about 45 seconds here:

I haven't used this product and need some input.

What I need is a quick puff of smoke between the camera and me.
Enough smoke to obscure me from the camera so that I can basically duck out of frame.
A product that is safe to use indoors. Gunpowder is not an option.

I think the above product may work but I don't want 45 seconds of smoke...

Any suggestions?

You can dump the powder out of these and use only the amount that you want for a shorter burn.
A little trial and error is all that is needed.
