I posted this elsewhere in the Café, but I wanted to specifically ask my Tenyo family this.
I now have over 100 Tenyo effects, and another hundred miscellaneous effects. Turns out I really don't have a completest mentality so I've been trying to figure out what direction I want the collection to go in. Well I finally figured it out. Rather than specialize in another specific manufacturer I am going to put together a collection which represents the best of the best. SO,,,,,,, since I still love the Tenyo like stuff, I tried to put together a list of producers who make this kind of trick & the tricks I already own by each one. 1- Which manufacturers/inventors have I missed? 2- I would like start by acquiring 2-3 effects from each one over the next few years. 3- Any recommendations and thoughts as to which tricks best represents them would be really appreciated. AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU !!!! That's an unusual direction to go in: collector's usually focus.

Richard, I never did like marching to someone else's drummer.
It's like the art collector who only collects modern art, but many different artists. Plus it seems like no one else is doing it this way. The interesting part will be figuring out which 3 tricks represents an artists work. Hmmm, Here is an idea. For the still living inventors I can ask THEM which 3 would they pick. |

I have often thought about getting Vikings Badlands Bob how do you like it. Worth getting I guess since it is on the grand master list. Richard

Richard, Badlands is a cool little trick. However it requires palming
a small gimmick, which I'm not very good at. Since I have 3 Vikings maybe we can find an equal trade. Badlands Bob for for something I need from the list above. |

François Danis is nice craftman, very kind guy, and his work is very interesting with always a great story line. I think it's nice idea to add 3 tricks of this creator on your collection.
What are your 3 Tenyo if you have to choose for a display with all others tricks from anothers manufacturers ? |

How could you possibly winnow down your Tenyo choice to only 3? Very tough.

The Tenyo collection is the exception.
I am keeping at least all the tricks on the "Favorite to Perform" list plus a bunch of others I really like. |

For whatever it's worth, one of my personal all time favorite close-up "apparatus" tricks is the Card Case by Mikame'.
It's a delightful bit of Magic and the ingenious method reminds one of the diabolical thinking of the developers at Tenyo> and it's made of wood! Julie |

Your comments and recommendations are always a welcome treat. He had always made the best stuff in wood some hard to find now. Just checked it out still available that is good news. It says the card case has many routines possible! NO Double Cards! NO Gimmick Cards of Any Kind! Completely Examinable! Richard
