There are various effects where the performer folds up a piece of paper changing the image or message.
One is Tricks4 food,
There is also an effect which begins showing a mansion, in the end converts to an outhouse - anybody knows what this is called and who sells it?

thanks

Tricks for food is sold by Elmwood magic.

The mansion turning to an outhouse is, I believe, Sid Lorraine's 'Magic Manor'. I don't know where this is currently available.... but Hocus-Pocus magic sell a version of the same thing which I believe is called 'Looking for a House'. I don't know what the proprietary of Sid Lorraine's version and how that relates to this item though.

The other popular one in this vein (of pictures being folded to create another image) is Sid Lorraine's 'Grave Mistake' where an ornate casket ends up being reduced to/changed into a garbage can. This is available from Abbotts Magic.

While I'm happy to help I'm pretty sure a rudimentary search of one of the popular search engines would have given you this info this information for yourself.

Thanks, but as I did not know the name of the effect, which search words do you suggest should I have googled?

Magic Inc. and Abbott's use to sell all three of the Lorraine tricks but they are no longer listed. Here is a thread that mentions the three:

Lugefu; I have just put in the terms, 'mansion outhouse magic folded paper' and the third listing on Google's first page for those terms was;

Looking For A House - No Tear - Stevens Magic Emporium
http://www.stevensmagic.com › ... › Parlor Magic › Comedy MagicShareJul 20, 2011 – Stevens Magic Emporium a Magic Shop with Professional Magic, Stage Magic, Close up ... after each fold the house get smaller until all your left with is a picture of an OUTHOUSE! This is an easy, cleaver Paper Fold Effect!

Also on that page was a youtube link to this item item with a link to Magictao.co.uk

No worries though. As I said I was happy to be able to help and hopefully this info might be useful to you for any future searches you might want to make. When you can't find what you're looking for the Café members will still be here to helpfully fill in the blanks. Smile
