Hi David, I designed such a product last month but it was for fire breathing dragons.
It is a long wooden pole with a cuff with the body being a block of ice. The dragon sets the wood on fire thus melting tge ice and letting me escape. The length of pole and the fact that fire breathing dragons do not exist limited the market size. That and it was close to the C.M.O.T. Dibbler Dragon Detector from diskworld also was an issue.

Second for the dunking stool. I saw one for real when I was a kid. It really did frighten me.

Ian. Can you please design a device to allow the user to escape moments before a meteor hits their exact spot? This would go over big in Russia. I understand from some rumours I heard that BJ's don't work when space objects are entering the Earths atmosphere at 30k+ miles and hour so they are out.

Oh the Russian meteor, wow! how cool was that. Not one clairvoyant predicted that. (before the event) I have made some device for fast escapes but that going to be a hard one to beat. BJ's only work in the hands of those who know what they are doing. I still have some (anyone), email me. Thank goodness for lakes, image the dust without them.

BS Mr SJ!

I'm calling you out on that one!

From my knowledge and experience ...... The stuff that Ian posts is (apart from the jokey tuff said in jest) is good solid true stuff. So you should have said truer words spoken often.

Ah unless you are saying that you can't get anymore 'true' than that. Smile

Stuart.... I'd rather have the dragon detecting device than one of C.M.O.T Dibbler's meat pies!!!!!!!! Even the gourmet pie!

a couple of years you say?

Yes, indeed (to the meat pies, it used to be really funny until recent UK news reports made me re-read the books)

Sorry all I did misquote Jay. He was talking about other cuffs, not getting a BJ and trying it.

My apologies Jay I will never misquote you about a BJ again.

I have read other places about not trying a BJ under water, but those books were obviously in error, and whoever wrote them was likely jealous that other EA's were getting a BJ to work underwater.

I myself have never been able to convince anyone to do that either. I have tried it in the shower and that seems to work, so I don't know why it wouldn't when the head is fully submerged.

Let us not jump to conclusions! We have no real idea of what Jay does with cuffs, in the privacy of his home! Not even when he's in the bath!

That's not stooping. That's jumping into a pool.
And yes, I practice in my turtle kids pool because I don't want to get my hair wet.

You have turtles as kids? Or the turtle's kid has a pool?

Definitely don't want to get your hair wet!

If Dean is happy to come here and say thanks Ian for the BJ he got from me, then it good enough for me to let you know what I can do for you too!
Thanks for those who have inquired and overwelming responses are hard to swallow.
