I thought you guys might be interested in the latest post on my blog:
http://www.magiconthebrain.com/color-monte-copycats/ I also tip my handling of "3 Card Monkey Business", which I think is much better than the standard handling for "Color Monte" . Marty |

Marty,
Thanks for pointing out that Jim Temple did not invent the effect. I would argue with magicians and they were stradfast in the notion that Jim Temple invented it. It was a happy day when I found it in Ibidem. Also, Marlo's Quick 3 Way seems to be the progenitor of the whole thing. I like the blog and I should subscribe! Namaste, Vlad |

Meir Yedid also put the record straight when he released his updated version of the effect with jumbo cards:
http://www.mymagic.com/yedtricks.htm Whilst the original handling gets by, there are more natural handlings out there. Paul. |

Hi Paul, yeah I think Yedid's handling is good and worth a watch:
http://www.previewmagic.com/yedid-jumboquickmonte.html I'm not a massive fan of Marlo's Quick 3 Way, but the trick does get a great response which I can't argue with. Marty |

Yes, I like the Gypsey Monte as well. It's also in his Knock 'em Dead video.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable. |
