I am looking for a table made for use with C&B that is fairly light weight but very sturdy. Also want to be able to fold it up and pack it away quickly. If when collapsed It could hold a set of cups it would be ideal.

I have been looking for a cup and ball table but one with a little like one inch lip so the balls so not roll off the table.

The flipdisc tables get my vote.

I've been using a table made by this company for years. They modified one of their designs for me and added a lip. Great work, affordable and easy to set up and transport.

I built an Ammar table and just adjusted the design to fit my needs. It's easy to attach a storage drawer to the underside. Basic plan is on his site for $8.95 download.

Wondrbob... I would recommend that you seriously consider adding your lip around your table using thin (1/4 inch) strip edging *the kind used for covering the edges of formica shelves (bought at home depot type hardware store. Instead of covering the table edge, adhere it around the top surface of the table, along its perimeter, to create the lip. Hope this is clear. Spun aluminum metal (shelving-edge) strips can be cut at 45 degrees to go around the perimeter of your table. A professional Frame shop could also put a metal frame around the edges of your table top, in a way so that the metal frame protrudes above the table top surface 1/4 ". It will serve you well for your cups and balls routine. I have created and used these types of table for my own C & B for more than 20 years with full satisfaction. Hope this helps. Good luck! Actually a friend who is a skilled craftsman will add the edging/lip.

Folks haven't mentioned the InStand Table. Very versatile, quick set up, light, folds very small and flat. The larger table top is adequate, not awesome for the C&B. This is because it's a little on the small side. A larger surface would be nice and you can make your own, larger top and add their flange to the underside. Having said that, you can certainly manage to do a 3 cup routine on the larger top they provide.

I make close up mats to fit InStand and Bill Abbott ( the Watson on my site) tables if anyone needs a mat to fit. I'm just sayin... Thank you. Pattrick

I have read all the posts in this thread and will say that depending on whether someone wants to use it indoors or outdoors might make a difference.
Velvet fabric does not hold up well when it gets wet.
I have used micro fibre suede to GREAT advantage. But recently have been building them mostly with various colors of pool table felt.
Both are very sturdy fabrics and will last a long time.
Someone mentioned a 1/4 inch lip? I recommend a 1/2 inch lip.
Depending on how much force one propels the balls with... they still sometimes go off the table.
A 1/4 inch lip is hardly enough.
Someone also mentioned a waiters tray for a stand.
The tables I build are about 10 lbs. 36 X 21 with Oak Wood Wrap.
The wait tray stand does wobble a bit.
May I recommend a decent Keyboard stand with rubber grips?
They are very sturdy, and easily adjust for your height.

Easy to make. A picture frame made to size, a piece of plywood covered by a close up mat. Under $100, easy to assemble.
