Ok. I'm posting this here because I think this looks cool. I think it's the boost Escapology needs and I think all of us here could benefit from it in a positive way. If the trailer is anything to go by then the show will be awesome. I really hope it does well. The artform needs it.

From what I hear it took them several hours to scrape him off the quarry floor. It's a good jib they filmed the rest first! Should be worth watching!

I want that catapult. I know a few people that should have a car launched, in their general direction.
Either that, or I could build a Trebuchet and Fling a Few Flaming Flamingos.

Watching that video brings out the safety man in me. I am guessing since I have not read of his death, that he got out at the last possible second. My concern is not for his stalled picking, but rather for what happened to Moodini. If Jonathan had got the lock off at the last second, then the plunging car will whip the chain around him at speeds of up to 125 miles per hour depending on the depth of the drop. Such a thing snagging even slightly on a belt loop or a bunch up of fabric anywhere on his person would knock him down and probably cause him to follow the car even though no longer attached to it. I am sure his safety people thought of this. Anyway, I think Jonathan must have a pair of steel balls to stand there like that, and I am sure I could not have done it, no matter how it was rigged to happen.

My hat is off to him, and I agree with Ros, that depending on where the airs, and how you publicize yourself this could help build interest and business.

Cliff you are wrong! ...........

Having seen some of his previous work ...... Specifically the sack truck escape in the lift .... I can categorically say his balls didn't look like they are made of steel!

I'm sure his "safety people" had several outs ... As well as the plummeting to his death option.

If you look at the way he had the rope laid out was a proper wide zig zag and not a very slight wobble like the guy at the race track. I bet they plunged a steak through JGs feet to fasten him to the top of the cliff so he wouldn't fall off

I'm sure he would not have been flippant about the safety. Well I would hope he wasn't! But he wouldn't be the first.

Dave_matkin,

Whats wrong with safety? He is in the entertainment business not the death business Smile
