It is funny to think just how inexpensive these tricks were at one point in time. I paid a lot of money for a eye of the idol and to me it is so well made and of such high quality that the price seems appropriate, but to think of what it would have been like to buy it new at a store for those kind of prices. Those prices make me think just how great tenyo has been, to get tricks that are sometimes so baffling for so little. So why is it that Tenyo has become so expensive? I can't imagine why interest would suddenly spike. I am certainly new to collecting tenyo, and so could be considered part of a newer wave of buyers, but I cannot understand how so many new people are getting into it. I only rediscovered tenyo after opening some older tricks I had and finding my 4-d trunk, a trick I never performed because I thought it was too obvious, I showed my wife and she was stunned, after that I started to look at there other effects and most had me completely fooled. What I wonder is, is why are so many more people into collecting tenyo, it can't all be accidental like mine, there is no advertising anywhere, no celebrity, no tv spot, none of the normal channels to peak consumer interest. Unless prices are spiking because existing collectors wanting more and willing to pay more. I don't know but I certainly wish I had had the internet back when I first bought my trunk and koorwinder car so I could have seen what else tenyo made. I wouldn't have to pay such obscene prices, though maybe the expense makes me love the trick all that much more.
