I received the package today from Sweden containing Eye of Odin. The contents came in a nice box and everything was wrapped meticuously. The mediallion and the special box are beautiful and well made. I alsocomes with a special chalkboard and plenety of rfills for about 200 performances. I did order additional refills as well. I will watch teh DVD later. I am so far impressed. an happy with my purchase.

25 percent Tax is an absolute joke and the reason I never purchase new items from within the EU.

I'd be interested to hear in a while from anyone who has bought this as to its reliability and durability. Is there anything that could break down with this?

Judging from the latest WPR the creators stated they wanted to make the most reliable device that they could. And if I remember correctly there are no electronic parts to worry about.

Hello!
It is tested during two years of hard use. We've performed it on regular corprate gigs many, many timse aswell as one really large stage show touring Sweden, and a 4 week period in an old ruin from the 13th century. (Rain, sun and things like that.)Everything that could break, have been corrected. I don't say it is unbreakable - but if you handle it like you would any magic prop - I am sure it will last you more than your life time. Best, Anders

Hi,
On the video we can see that you handle the amulet (at the end) to the spectator. IS it possible or risky ? (can the spectator examine the amulet ?) How long does it take to "reset" ? Thanks |
|||||||||
MetalWriting New user Sweden 31 Posts |
As long as you control your spectator you can let him examine it quite freely. I would not let him/her have it for an extended time but enough for them to feel satisfied. On the DVD that comes with Eye of Odin we talk about different ways of having the amulet examined. It is gimmicked, a lot. When we perform with it we usually let the spec have it for quite some time, but it depends on how "grabby" or suspicious your helper is.
The reset takes us about 3-5 minutes. When you start out it will probably take you about 15-20 minutes, but speed comes with skill. You get two special gimmickes which means that you can do the trick twice in a row with more or less an instant reset. Best,

This effect is out of control, orbiting earth AMAZING. The fact that it 'costs' every time you actually perform makes it all that much more intriguing.
Posting ever so slightly.

Jonathan Pendragon recived his Eye of Odin the other day. His comment was: "The Eye of Odin stands next to the Linking Finger Rings as one of the strongest effects in magic. It starts where the Gold Medallion and Room service left off."

I joined the Magic Café exactly 1 year ago today. I'm so very grateful to the Lord I learned of it because it has been SO much fun! and, to be honest, a great place to come when I've felt a bit "down" at times.
Rasmus, Mr. Zager, Christian, Zombie, Saysold1, Firestarter, Loki, Tekel and other very kind hearted magicians and members have made this a wonderful experience and allowed me to feel a part of a uniquely gifted group of men. In the past year, I've never learned of so many spectacular new illusions released so closely together as I've learned of in the past two weeks. One reason for this might be that so many inventors just decided to release thier projects, some of them years in the making as Arkadia's was, all about the same time. But I think the main reason I've learned of so many new things recently is that I've just discovered, in the past 2 weeks, how to use the Café Search features to become a shadow to saysold1 and Zombie Magic. Wherever they go...I go. Before learning how to tag along behind saysold and Zombie, I mainly learned of new things by seeing them offered at Penguin, sometimes Illusionist, and sometimes WPR and then rushing over to the Café to see what the Café magicians think. But now I know how to follow saysold1 and Zombie around the Café and the journey has been...AWESOME! These boys know where the new stuff is! And wherever they are it usually isn't long before you find USTAAD, Firestarter, and the other great reviewers adding their 2 cents to saysold and Zombie's great thoughts and reviews. I try not to stay RIGHT behind saysold1 and Zombie though, when following them to a new thread, because of stalking laws and such. (Once I've followed them from just a bit of a distance, I watch from across the street and let a few posts go by and then casually post my own post as if I happened upon a thread by accident.) I just wanted to thank both guys, on my first year Café anniversary, for being here and helping so many. AND also wanted to state that "EYE OF ODIN" looks very very powerful and I so appreciate the honesty of Arkadia that one of the other magicians noted. This particular effect lends itself to especially mysterious and magical "old world" presentations that I just love. It's cost...okay...it is "ouchy" and I will have to save pennies and quarters in the jar for awhile to afford it but the "Eye of Odin" looks to be heirloom quality magic very worth the price asked and I can honestly see this illusion being worth passing down from father-to-son, and increasing in value over time, because of the quality of material as well as the quality of the illusion. When I can afford it I am going to ask Arkadia to please autograph whatever part of it can be autographed: even if it is only the package it comes in. (trust me on this all you collectors among us:)) HOWEVER, something that I might be able to afford right away and simply GOTS TO HAVE! is a pair of glasses just like Arkadia's! They are AWESOME/COOL to the power of 10! Arkadia, please tell us if those cool shades are for sale!...and congratulations on your beautiful device. |

Trueinventor: Hi and... thanks. Thanks a lot for your kind words.
Before I continue, lets make it clear that MetalWriting is not just me. I am the guy doing the graphics and digital stuff, it is my brother (Cbring-user above) who is the guy doing all the handywork, handcarving, and such. We work togheter, but it is Andreas who is doing most of the work. The price is an issue for many, and I understand that. It is a lot of money. Without braging my head of, I just want to say that a lot of professional workers who've bought the EEO have told us the price is to low. The method is easy to do, foolproof, doesn't cost you a fortune to reset and can be done on the fly with any engraved message that can be touched by the spectator. In my knowledge, there is no product on the market that can match it. The goggles are really wonderful, and I love them. Bought them om Ebay a couple of years ago. A really nice guy and reasonable price: http://www.ebay.com/sch/qnguyen78/m.html......id=p3686 Best,
