FYI for everyone -- many Nick Trost effects can be found in the Karl Fulves and Bob Longe books: This is what I have found: Jacks are Wild: part of the routine is Jazzy Jacks in Longe's Little Giant Book of Card Tricks Observation Test: Reverse Colors in Fulves' Self-Working Close-up Card Magic, and A Volatile Card in Fulves' My Best Self-Working Card Tricks has an interesting slant on the effect. 8 Card Brainwave: Do You Have ESP? in Fulves New Self-Working Card Tricks Weight Guess: Heavyweight in Fulves New Self-Working Card Tricks (face-up version) 7 Card Count: One Too Many in Longe's 101 Amazing Card Tricks (with some changes made) Ambitious Ace, Deuce, and Trey: Ambitious Ace in Longe's Great Card Tricks A Premonition: Blind Chance in Longe's World's Greatest Card Tricks (with some changes made) Psychic Coincidence: Psychic Aura in Fulves' New Self-Working Card Tricks (with some changes made) Concentration: Hypnodeck in Fulves More Self-Working Card Tricks (with some changes made) In some cases, Trost is given credit. In others, other people are given credit. |

I found a few more tricks from the Nick Trost books that also appear in other books:
Ace Stop: in Karl Fulves' Self-Working Close-up Card Magic (Stop at an Ace) and in Bob Longe's Easy Card Tricks (Cutting the Aces) -- Though the Nick Trost version makes a small modification that turns a weakness into a strength, which makes the trick better and leaves you clean at the end. Triumph Ace Opener: in Karl Fulves' More Self-Working Card Tricks (Ace Triumph) Red or Black - Which?: in Bob Longe's Mystifying Card Tricks (Psychic Test), with handling that removes the minor sleights. Here are a few Nick Trost tricks that I haven't matched up to ones in his books yet: The Disappearing Card - Bob Longe's 101 Amazing Card Tricks Three Card Coincidence - Bob Longe's Mystifying Card Tricks |
