I just saw a teaser ad for Yigal Mesika's second version of the Electric Touch. You can see it here: http://www.yigalmesika.com/

I loved the first version, but the setup was not very convenient. Has anyone heard any info on the second version?
The performance is what really makes it all worth while.

Mike I agree when I got it to work it was a gem, but sneakers or combat boots made it impossible for me, And even though I wear dress shoes I didn't like the "" that I would distract me. I use to even go to the site with advice and how others altered there gimmick but still wasnt working for me. I still have mine in the drawer in perfect condidtion and if this "+" is worth the while then we shall see. But for a gimmick of this sort I really doubt we will get any details because of the nature of the device but fingers crossed right?

I emailed a reputable magic dealer. I learned that this is supposed to be released in the next 30 days.

Paisa I remember one member had a different set up the Pets or something like that I did not want to mess around with taking the unit apart. . It would be nice if the set up would be one that you could switch shoes easily. I put mine in dress shoes. I would think we should get info if this is a newer version. I'm interested for sure.

That was an impressive trailer. $200 would be out of my price range ( it's just a hobby ) but I'd love to live vicariously through others and hear your experiences when it gets shipped.

If I put my trust in a stranger and he did that to my forehead or the forehead of anyone in my family I'd immediately punch him in the face. But first I'd say, "here... hold out YOUR face now."

A humble suggestion - DO NOT discharge static electricity through the forehead.

Also when discharging the static charge through the fingers, avoid touching yours as well as the spectators LEFT hand finger. Use RIGHT hand fingers to discharge the charge.

These are just suggested precautions.

Smile
P.S. Almost 3 years ago I made my own powerful & effective Static Charger by removing the electronics from a cheap China made Mosquito Racquet. The electronic circuit board needs no modification whatsoever; the circuit is used - 'AS IS'.

Thanks as always dear Ustaad... why is touching the forehead a bad idea? Just curious.

Yigal seems to like it no?

Yes

Thanks Ustaad for sharing Smile

Yes, touching the forehead seems quite funny, perhaps a bit dangerous? if someone suffers from heart
disease?

But definetly impressive, espacally the moving tobacco, much more power as it seems then the
first Version.

The strength of static shock depends on many factors (if need be I can enumerate them - its a long list Smile) including the human body's skin resistance at the time of shock (the skin resistance also keeps changing due to many factors).

The skull is a casing for the brain and the face is the most sensitive part of the human body (as I understand). One has no idea how the static shock will react with brain/ nervous system when suddenly the UNAWARE spectator gets a jolt on the forehead and hence my humble warning. Better be safe than sorry.

As seen from the demo video of ‘Electric Touch +’, the Static Charge is quite strong and one can not predict the intensity of the shock which can vary to an extent (i.e. can be higher or lower than the designed parameters).

It all comes down to the hook up and durability... I need to be able to add it and switch it between clothing. I wear Military Boots most of the day and they are Steal Toe.

Yeah... I had an Electric Touch and I know exactly how the electronics works.
Your not going to do anything but **** people off shocking them on the forehead.
It's no more of a spark than rubbing your sock feet on some carpet and touching something.
I still don't recommend touching someones forehead though, but you're not going to stop their heart or send them into an epileptic coma.
You'll just make them want to punch you.

The first ET was not practical at all. It was too hard to set up and keep set up.
Out of all the time I had mine, I was able to put it to work (real gig) one time.
The rest, was me messing with it trying to get it to work and just playing with it.

The electronics are nothing new, so don't look for anything like that.
It's not like they are being made with graphene now or something.
I am sure the new version is an improvement on the set up, or no improvement at all. Just brought out again.
