At the bottom of every posting window, there's a button that says attachment. You click on that and find the file where your photo is posted. It must meet the size requirements listed under the attachment button.

At times, I've had issues even when things meet the size requirement.
For example, I just posted an ad for Bob's Box. I tried to post a picture, but it wouldn't let me. It's a .jpg file that is 19K, and 167 x 297 pixels, but it won't post. Any idea why? In case you can see the issue, trying to post it here as well. Click here to view attached image. |

Even though an apostrophe is acceptable as part of a file name, it can't be part of the name of a picture you want to upload.

Glad you figured it out. A general rule of thumb is to remove all punctuation from your file names before trying to upload the picture.

I just discovered that the file name cannot be long. I don't know what the requirement actually is, but I just shortened a file name that was fine by all other requirements and wouldn't post, and then it posted.

Open the file in practically anything except Paint, resize and optimize for the web. How you do that depends what software you use. There is usually a "Help" file included with such software. The reason not to use Paint: it doesn't encode size (bytes, not dimensions) information in the file when it saves, and image files created or saved in that program cannot be verified by the forum software in use here.
