Quick note, I know lots of people have discussed "Bad to the Balloon" here before, but want to add my experience.
I got my copy at the beginning of the week and tonight at my restaurant gig I added just three of the balloons to my repertoire and focused on making EVERYTHING I did a hat. At my restaurant gig I got my personal best for tips. It was about 25-33% more than I have been averaging. All I have to add to the conversation is that I've already made back many times the cost of the DVD and foresee the increase continuing. If you're on the fence about getting it I'd say get it as soon as possible. I don't know Mark at all and as you can tell I'm late to the game since I am just now discovering this resource but I do recommend it.

I love these DVDs and wish Mark would add a third to the mix. My favorites to make are the shark, dolphin, crock and duck hats.

I had my first restaurant gig evernlast night, and more than 50% of the stuff I made was from bad to the balloon. Everyone loved them and so did the restaurant staff... I'll be back next week!!!!

((((((((Sigh))))))
Love to do another DVD or 12...... Here is the problem from a creator stand point..... I hate YouTube tutorials!! I put out a DVD and ever jackwad buys my DVD and thinks they can "Share" the recipes with everyone in the world. Don't get me wrong ... I love to collaborate with other artist, one on one and will show you about anything I do. HOWEVER someone copying my designs and YouTubing them puts no scratch in my pocket. My original idea was to make DVDs so I would have a legacy product for my children & family just incase.... they would have something of value that they could sell into the future. I may try to do a KickStarter for doing a series...... make a comment if your interested.

I would definitely be on board. Im not a fan of the youtube tutorials either. I put a lot of money into learning and now anyone can just go on the computer and learn for free.

Kickstarter is a good idea. I ran a Kickstarter campaign a while back and it was fun (stressful, but fun)
FWIW, Mark, you once mentioned including LED light usage in a future DVD, and that's something I'd be interested in seeing if you do get something like this off the ground. I'm sure you've got a billion really great ideas to share, but that's just one thing that I'd love to see.

By the way, just got Bad to the Balloon Vol. 1 about an hour before one of my restaurant gigs. Just had time to learn the croc and add it to the balloons from Bad to the Balloon Vol. 2 that I already was doing. Also, been doing ALL hats lately (not just the ones from Mark). And, I broke last week's all time tip record.
Bottom line, I make more money because of Mark so of course I'm in for Kickstarter or anything else.

Mark I will be putting at least $25 in to this project. I am curious about the big $1000 donation point. I would like to approach either the clown club with the idea or the magic club. What are the limitations on that? Is it just your lecture fee or would you be covering the airfare as well? Obviously you wouldn't want to travel across the globe for that fee but would anywhere in North America work?
