It's really a bummer when over zealous magicians position themselves in front of high visibility lay institutions as innovators, and then use commercially available material... material that isn't even theirs. Leave the innovation area to guys like Marco Tempest, Calen Morelli, Bizzaro and Eric Mead. True innovators.

You say that we're supposed to be deceiving the audience. But, not in that way.

We don't need another shameless self-promoter positioning himself as innovative without having the work to back it up. Heck, the audience doesn't know the difference. But, the public's perception of magicians at this point is so low, between abuse of video medium and ego filled hype, that using deceptive ethical practices is only adding to the lack of respect for true art that some of us are so diligently trying to present. People are tired of being lied to. Deceive only with your methods.

It's a slap in the face to those of us who work very hard to create, and then you go in front of the unwashed masses and falsely promote yourself as innovative and creative.
