Did someone say blowtorch? Hmmmm!

"Transform the familiar (sometimes cheap plastic) props into wonderful original artifacts and then add ....... an unusual tale and handling,
& the spectator forgets about the magic they have seen so many times before". Tales of Enchantment by
Walt Anthony

Now I just have to figure out how to conrvert cheap plastic into an artifact.
Maybe I'll send my picture to Mr. Anthony & ask him how (after the blowtorch of course)

I love customizing my Tenyos...
Unfortunately, I have never been able to post pictures successfully here, so...that's that I guess. :s

Marlowe, Would love to see your customized Tenyos!!! DO NOT GIVE UP!
Let us help you figure it out. Lets start out 3 easy questions.

1- do you have a digital camera?
2- If yes, do you know how to put pictures into the computer?
3- If yes, what program do you put them in?

Finally, if yes to 1 above but no to 2 or 3, would you like to learn?

I've sent you a personal message Marlowe - I'd love to put pictures of your items on my website Smile
The same goes for anyone else of course who feels comfortable with pictures of their improved/customized tricks on my site ... .

Here's a picture I posted some time ago of an improved Future Clock I once bought:

Thanks, Guys!

My PC is in storage and I do everything with my outdated smart phone. I have tried uploads, photobucket, etc. but it never seems to work out right.
I gave a pic of my Phantoma to stereo..maybe he could post it for me? «hint hint»

Marlow, OMG- Your phantoma is gorgeous.

What kind of paint did you use?

I primed it with chalkboard spray paint for some texture.
The colors are GW acrylics and inks.
I have been into modelling for years, so this was a very easy and fun project.

I always envied the lucky soul(s) who won these on auction:

Both are re-worked in veneer by master craftsman Mark Teufel. They must be incredible.

Should try it on something else plastic see how well it stays after handling it many times being water based. You can apply some clear coat after but might not be looking like realistic rust with that on it. Models aren't touched as much as a magic prop so it might come off without it. That truck looks really cool with it on it.

These are really nice! I would be curious to know how much the final selling price was.

Ah, another member of Martinka's loyal subjects, like me, who can see what prices were paid...or, are you the buyer simcoscor, who was actually lucky enough to purchase these treasures? Perhaps we'll never know...ha,ha,haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (insert your personal version of a sinister laugh here).

Whan you look at Marlowe's phantoma house with all small details perfectly painted, I find it amazing. The props and house is so small, and for example the small lines on the facade are very very thin, but on Marlowe's House you can see that each board line is painted separtly with a small black border. It's crazy, I am unable to paint things so small. Incrdible and so perfect.
