Michael,
When performing for corporate clients, CEO's , the suits so to speak what type of effects do you feel are more appealing to this type of clientele. Some people don't even like to participate because they can't stand the fact that they can't figure it out. Others may enjoy a flourishy type of presentation. Some feel sponge magic is more geared to the younger people. I know performing with money/coins appeals to most adults......I would like to get your feedback regarding what you would definitely take with you to a corporate function. Thanks again.

Typical strolling corporate functions for me include first and foremost...company specific material. for example, a random drawing becoming a company logo...making cash multiply (hundy 500) Coin magic, Hundred dollar bill switch and my routine "magic pills".
Yes I tend to do more with currency. I also do more mentalism type effects having predictions, etc on my business cards so they get in their hands under the guise of an innocent gesture. ACR using company name as signature on the card..end by making the competition vanish. Left with just the company card. I also try and keep the amount of flourishy material to a minimum. Hope this helps. |

Thinking more about this topic...I have to say...I always want to entertain..that is always my first goal.....secondly, however, I want to pass along a message.....not exactly a trade show type pitch, but definately it is magic done with a meaning.
If I can inform as well as entertain, more value can be seen in how my services apply to the specific company. Relaying their message and making it heard. Even the boss loves to hear their slogan...More than likely, he came up with it Most of all...make them laugh..if they are laughing and smiling, then no matter what magic you perform...it doesn't matter if it's nickles to dimes or the hot rod....you will be getting a call for another engagement. And that makes everyone happy! |
