HOT NEWS! Update 7:15 AM EDT - Famed international illusionist and magical entrepreneur David Copperfield announced his acquisition of KIDabra International, a worldwide organization of family magicians. Copperfield credited his strong desire to rediscover his childhood passion for the purchase. According to the Vegas superstar, "Steve Carell and his inspirational Wonderstone film sparked this desire to recapture my magic roots. Buying KIDabra is just the first step." Plans include relocating the organization's international headquarters and the annual conference to his Islands of Copperfield Bay resort in the Bahamas to boost flagging profits. Kidabra Founders Mark and Tami Daniel were not available for comment.

If the KIDabra Conference was at Copperfield's island, it would be very small. That's a small resort.

At $3000 per day per person - I'd say it would be miniscule ... but AWESOME!!!

Gahhhhhhh! I am still picking my jaw up off the floor! Thought you were kidding until I went to the website. You are right...the website is worth the virtual visit in itself. Wow. The motto should be, "I can make the Statue of Liberty disappear and your bank account, too!" (No disrespect intended).

Nice to have $150,000 pocket change. Oprah and Goggle can afford it.
Can you image how many children shows I need to do to get that kind of money?

Gee, Tommy - you were the LAST one I would have expected to catch! I'll see you in Pigeon Forge in August and you can get even. Muahahahaha! For anyone else reading - this thread was my tongue-in-cheek April 1st contribution to my KIDabra peers and friends.

Then I posted my question, asking if THIS years convention was still in TN. So I went onto the KIDabra website and saw nothing about it. Then I re-looked at the date of the post and saw April 1st and . . . . I just shook my head. Yes Skip, I WILL get you back in August. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!!!

Watch out! Tommy has access to measles (left over from when he makes the wands), and might give them to you as his form of revenge.
