Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a review of this set, or any more information about it.
Of all the ads I've seen, they all seem to show the same one video, which doesn't actually show any performances, just snippets of action shots and foreboding music, so I really can't get a sense of what's on it.
Also, if anyone has a any links that might show some of the performances, that'd be cool too.
Thanks!

The February 2013 issue of Genii came with a sampler DVD containing 3 effects from this DVD set. From Richard Kaufman's "Genii Speaks" column:

"You’ll find a free DVD in this issue courtesy of Essential Magic and Luis [de Matos], which contains the following items by MagoMigue: “Card And Glass” performed and explained. The effect and method are great. One card is inside a glass that’s isolated on stage. A spectator calls out a card. No sleights, total freedom. The card happens to be the one freely named by the spectator. A classic plot with a guaranteed method that you can use minutes later in front of an audience; “Cards Across”; and a performance only of MagoMigue’s incredible “Bill in Lemon.” All for you, for free! (For those reading the digital edition, the videos will be embedded in the article.)"

I have just received the set and will be watching it over the next few days. Will post a review here soon. He has some nice testimonials from respectable names - Gaeton Bloom was one that got my attention.

OK So far I have watched the first disc - Parlour Magic. Haven't got time now to break down each effect but my general thought is WOW this guy is a worker and has obviously honed his routines to something approaching perfection over MANY performances. Most of what he performs (on this first disc in any case) are what we would consider 'classics' but he has many original subtleties & 'bits of business' involved and demonstrates a consistently highly polished performance ability.

As MagoMigue 's native language is Spanish I was following subtitles while watching but didn't find this to be a problem, I think if I understood Spanish the humour and patter would have elevated the performance even more. None the less this was a very impressive set of Parlour (small stage) routines. Particularly liked the coin routine although it would require a very special prop to be made if you wanted to duplicate this performance. The blocking and spectator management taught in this routine is absolutely masterful. His Bill in Lemon was also a wonderful version with many devious subtleties and a great 'topper' effect at the end of the routine.

I am generally not a great lover of card work in a parlour/stage setting HOWEVER the items MagoMigue presents are genuinely entertaining and his signed card to pocket was particularly action packed and generated some good laughs.

Will expand on this review when I get the chance to watch more of the set, so far VERY impressive both in material and production.

This DVD Set is really really great! This effects are so clear, his technique is a dream but on top and most impressiv is the person MagoMigue. Here is the old law if the audience like you you can do what you like, you will be the hero! You can feel that he loves and live magic and he his sharing this love with his audience! If you listen the interviews you find out that you listen to one of the true masters of our art! Many thanks for this wonderfull Project "Allegro"!

Miguel Puga was 2003 FISM Card Magic Champion and his magic is still impressive. I would expect excellence.

Just received this the other day. Great magic on the DVD but one thing was puzzling me was on DVD 1 - the Silver Prestige performance and explanation?
This trick is not something that any normal magician could do because of the equipment that is needed and therefore I was wondering why it is on the DVD, is it just to pad out the DVD?
As a magician I am not looking for explanations that I cannot perform.
