The private Jonathan Winters was a very hip old dude, but he covered it up well to protect his old fogey image. I will miss them both.

I believe Robin Williams became the comic genius that he is because of his knowing and working with Jonathan Winters. While Williams' comedy is his own work and his own genius, he drew upon Winters' style of improv in his craft. RIP Jonathan Winters, a great American.
