Hey everyone.
I'm an amateur magician in Melbourne, Australia, who loves to invent new tricks. Generally I get inspired by other awesome magicians, but I like to give it my own spin. Here's an example of a trick I did at my church recently. It's not that sophisticated a trick, but you'll at least get a sense of my style. http://youtu.be/ZRCOvg1LqgI |

Bard - Welcome to the Café! If you are seeking inspiration from awesome magicians you couldn't have chosen a better place to meet some. Mary Mowder, Dick Oslund, Pop Hayden, Harry Lorraine, and so many others. I have been continually amazed at the sheer number of professional magicians who not only frequent the Café but take time to share their thoughts, opinions, and assistance with rank amateurs like myself!
As to your video 'The Human Microscale', Nicely done in my view. A very enjoyable stage presence and delivery. Nitpicking now, as it is only my opinion, Given the opportunity to perform before an audience I would choose to dress in more than a mere t-shirt and jeans. Of course to each their own, I would think a magician would wish to present themselves with a higher standard of dress. I'm not talking suits necessarily though there are tools that lend themselves well to suits. The above is strictly my opinion however. You've certainly stepped beyond my level as I've not had an opportunity to perform magic before an audience, though I've performed theatrically before countless audiences. Welcome to the Café! Prepare to have your mind blown by the volume of fantastic people you will meet. ~Rogue |

Hey Rogue.
I agree about the clothes. The audience I did it for was my church who is used to seeing me in casual wear and so it worked for them as they had lower expectations which worked in my favour. I think a costume of sorts (even a shirt) may have made them more suspicious. Having said that, the tshirt could have been a bit less sloppy I agree. Thanks for the feedback! I presume you've all worked out the trick by the way. |

Nicely done. Despite that taking 12 minutes for a quite simple trick, you kept it entertaining. I also enjoyed working out how you did it
We hope that lay people have no idea of such concepts.

G'Day Bard! Welcome to the Café. Very nice performance. I loved the p**k for your k** c**d, it was hilarious and the audience were too busy laughing to realise what was happening. Nicely built in to the microscale concept.

Usually it is, Gday mate, a more correct greeting for the downunders like Australia and New Zealand.
