Just wondering if anyone is doing any illustrations for Mother's Day that they don't mind sharing.
I am looking for something that will bless the mothers in my church.
Thanks for looking

I once used a few origami Magic Rose Cubes (designed by Valerie Vann-- you can find instructions, using Google), and stacked them illustrating building on the foundation of Christ. You can say the mothers who build their family on a good foundation can see their children blossom, and then transform a cube into a rose. It is very effective.

Very nice, Walden. I have also twisted paper roses at the end of my show and gave them to a few "representative mothers" in the crowd...such as an elderly woman, or a new mommy.

It would also be a great idea to remember the Mother of Our Lord Jesus.

Luke 1:48; Luke 2:51; John 2:3-9; John 19:26-27

I purchased a downloadable jumbo card effect at http://childrensministry.org/estore/the-magnificent-mother/
called Magnificent Mother. It's a "Do It Yourself" kind of thing where you need to be able to print the graphics and make up the cards yourself.

There are quite a few effects for a small fee at: http://gospelmagic.childrensministry.org/gospel-magic.htm that are "Do It Yourself" effects.

Hope this helps!

Amen, Vlad! It is certainly appropriate on Mother's Day to honor the "model of motherhood", the Blessed Virgin.

Ive had a lot of fun using a Bongo Hat. Find a child whose mother is also there and as you go through each phase of the hat ask the mom, "Do you STILL love 'Tommy' even in this silly hat?".Hopefully she answers 'yes'. Add in all of the Bongo comedy bits ending with the monster face. Same question to the mom, 'Do you STILL love Tommy?'. That's the way God is too. He sees past all of our pretend cover ups and knows us as we really are. I think moms are a good example of how we should others.
