I'm new to this scam, but I've had some fun fooling people with a basic routine from Zenon's Street Magic book. What do I need to take it to the next level?

Erdnase is always a useful reference, as is Vernon's routine in "Further Inner Secrets". And, of course, it's hard to go wrong with the wealth of information available in the notes from the School for Scoundrels.

While this clip is well known I will post it as you are new and seem to be a curious fellow. This is the late Gamblin' Sam laying it down...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPBDdvLZHoM SFS book and dvd on monte is really quite good. I have had several copies of both. They get loaned out and don't come back and I replace them. Right now I have zero copies and will go on replacement mode for them soon (again). That is how good the book and dvd are. You can get a dvd with the ebook on it, or the book is also available as a separate purchase. http://www.chefanton.com/scoundrelsstore......onte.htm The original Vernon routine transfers well to a street situation, as well as being a solid magic routine. I am blanking for the source of this routine though...can anyone here tell where it can be found? Good luck to you in your learning adventures Pog. |

SFS products are excellent. I have never been disappointed in a purchase from them.

Daryls dvd (Daryl does the 3 card monte) is very good.
Hè tells about the history, types of underground, a lot of moves, Vernons routine, and a lot of other great routines. |

I see from a post above that Vernon's routine is in Further Inner Secrets. I just missed it.

I recommend having a look over The Scoundrels Bibliography. There's a whole universe of wonderful information to be found about Monte and variations.

Daryl does the full Monte is excellent. He is a very good teacher and a funny guy to boot.
Nothing really beats the SFS though. They go very in depth into the history and psychology of the game. What a course! |

If your doing the Monte as a Magician,Daryl does the full Monte is one of the best. If you want to do the Monte for real on the street for money then I think the SFS is the way to go. I have both. I personally like all of Daryl's DVD's. He is very good in teaching anything.

This is a recreation of the Cracker Parker Mob's monte script from School for Scoundrels DVD on Three Card Monte.
