Just picked this up, Another winner from Michael !
This is his take on the PIN number reveal combined with a failsafe amnesia kicker. Nothing is written down (genuinely) and both the reveal and the amnesia are guaranteed. Michael has layered a combination of existing classics and adding subtleties, the routine leaves the audience very little room for explanation, other than that what they have just seen to be real!. More geared for parlour and stage, but Michael offers a great adaption for business cards should you wish to use the idea in that environment. (What’s nice here is that in my opinion there is no cop out, the close up version really is strong !). People really will talk about the reveal for long after the show has finished due to the way the audience and participant are handled. ( I can’t say too much without giving away the plot Available from him direct, Really looking forward to a full length book from Michael |

Having now read ATM I can say that it stands for Awesome Thinking Michael!!! This is good, very good and it's one of those effects where the method puts a smile on your face. I'm not sure I would do this close up because it uses DR but it is one of the cleverest DR ideas I have seen. Michael does give a nice "clean up" to cancel the DR so maybe it would work close up. The "clean up" could be considered a strong effect in itself and it is pretty devious and gave me another thing to smile about.
This is the kind of thing I could imagine Pete Turner using. This will almost certainly be going into the stage act I'm putting together. Full disclosure I received this for free however that has had no impact on this mini review. Had I paid for this I would consider it money very well spent. It is a sneaky thing and it pleases me greatly. Mark |

This is another gem from Mr Murray.
It brilliantly illustrates what appears to be a subtle shift in mentalism and the way it is performed. When I was younger I was quite into rock music and there was at the time a similar shift in styles and it was christened N.W.O.B.H.M. (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) I think we may be seeing the green shoots of a similar phenomenon in mentalism (though I admit I'm no expert and this is only my opinion.) But A.T. M. is in the same vein as some other new effects which seem to have a different feel about them. Hard to articulate what this difference is. Maybe it's just a feel. Maybe it's a mindset. but it's there. ATM is great. I recommend it. Steve |

Does anyone have a link?
Some think Houdini used trap doors in his act, but he was just going through a stage.

Michael has some really smart thinking here. He takes a small seed of an idea from Banachek's PS1 and has cultivated it into an incredibly strong piece, layering methods upon methods, to ensure both participant and audience are thoroughly baffled.
Well done, sir! Regards, -AH |

This is GREAT. An absolutely BRILLIANT concept/routine. It seems so fair and genuine. I think this will look pretty close to the real deal.

Also, just thought I would mention, Michael provides you with two youtube links as well to two different ways of doing something taught in the PDF. |

Cardbiker, I've only ever performed this close up for small groups. It is still however highly suitable for stage workers too
Thanks for the kind words gentlemen they are appreciated

Hey Michael, do you think there could ever be a chance of us seeing a live performance of it? Just to get a feel for the routine?

Michael Murray is one of the cleverest guys around. Whenever I see him, he fools me. I wish I had seen him perform ATM before I read it as it would have have fooled me too. It's a beautiful routine and something I really want to work on.
As usual Micheal's writing is extremely clear and everything is covered - he even offers alternative methods for some parts of the routine. ATM is brilliantly constructed and extremely devious. I also agree that I can see this working well in close up situations and that's where I'll be using it. Unlike other similar routines, ATM is reassuringly safe - Michael has covered all the bases here. Highly recommended! Iain. |
