Can anyone please post what's the difference between the old Cerberus set (without the Chinese coin) and the new one (with Chinese coin).
I just purchased the old set from a Café member so I must know the difference. Thanks for your help! |

The old set, as you know, has a silver, a copper, and a brass. From personal experience I find that after the copper and brass coins start to tarnish, they're hard to tell apart in color. Unless you like to keep them all polished I think having a Chinese coin with a hole would be better for contrast. I think he also changed the way he does the infinity edge. Instead of silver paint, like the old set, I think he actually attaches a sliver of silver to the rim of the Chinese shell.

I think that some of the newer ones include a slippery Sam coin as well.

I don't remember ever seeing them advertised as coming with a SS gaff. I do seem to remember that the later ones had some magnetic properties...but can't remember. Go to Lassen's blog and go through past entries and you'll likely find your answers.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

@David Neighbors
Hi Sir, I have the DVD that came with the set. Did you publish any other routines also using the set? (The one without the Chinese coin) |

Ah, the best is yet to come for you! The new book is called "Global Positioning". Although less routines than David usually puts in his books, they are really great. You can find a video of one of my favorite routines from David's new book on Todd's Blog. You'll need to do a little searching though, I think it was posted about a year ago.

No criticism intended, Dave. Tams did a great job for you. I just wanted Shakuni to know what to expect. Each of the three routines in the book are really good, but I would have bought the book just for Four Corners.

As mentioned here before the only difference between "old" and "new" cerberus set from Todd Lassen is additional set of Chinese gaffed and non gaffed coins. No magnets in any of the sets.
