Anyonw know anything about this, just come up on sites the last couple of days. Here's the blurb
"The OmniPad is an incredibly versatile device for magicians and mentalists. An entertaining 30-minute act can be created using only this amazing precision-made notepad. OmniPad es easy to use, built to last, can be refilled with plain paper and uses no chemicals, electronics, or anything that can break or fail during performance." Effects: Confabulous - Have your audience create a fictional movie or tv show. Your prediction, in full view the entire time, is opened by a spectator to reveal a full color poster that exactly matches the audience's imagined movie! The Bourne Impossibility - A devious foolproof revelation using a choice of three unprepared Jason Bourne trilogy paperbacks. Serial Killer - Borrow one or more dollar bills. Place the bills on a page of the OmniPad and hand it to a spectator to choose a bill. You immediately describe what state the bill was printed in, then name the entire serial number. And the spectator keeps the bill! Super Fan - Have several people write random sports scores, then pass the OmniPad to another spectator who adds up the scores (you never touched the pad). The total matches a photo of a scoreboard sealed in an envelope held by a spectator. Psychic Artist - A spectator draws or writes anything and you immediately duplicate it. Sounds like another imp pad, but could be worth a look. |

Its the same guy who originally released a clipboard that was like a copy of john riggs boards, he then finally spoke with john who agreed to him selling them, with a note crediting him in them, and to then sell no more - the guy then brought out another clipboard saying it used different tech - never saw one so can't comment on that...
but by the looks of this pad, it looks extremely similar to john riggs work...again. We'll see.

Hocus-pocus.com has them as well as mjm magic and I think Penquin, so I guess Murphy's is stocking them. Re-read the blurb and it may be some sort of switch pad???

Yes, I think like Iain, it could be a mix between the nematode and the butterfly... so what we asked to John to make
Anyway I can be wrong, we'l see.

Thanks for your inquiries on the OmniPad, which is my creation. It is both a switching pad and an impression device built into an innocent-looking pad. This is my go-to device for most performing situations because it's so versatile. To my knowledge, the materials used and the approach is different from anything that John Riggs or others have released to the market. Below is a more complete description and just some of the effects possible. The pad works great and if you decide to get one, I think you'll be very pleased with its versatility. Cheers. Mark PS - There are no video links for this product, but the e-manuscript is quite detailed.
OmniPad by Mark Zust, the Perceptionist OmniPad is an incredibly versatile device for magicians and mentalists. It’s easy to use, built to last, can be refilled with plain paper and uses no chemicals, electronics, or anything that can break or fail during performance. Included is a full-color, 20-page e-manuscript with detailed handling instructions, tips and effects. Here are just a few of the effects possible with OmniPad: Confabulous A “Confabulation” style prediction where the audience creates a fictional television show (or theater play, movie, etc.) complete with plot, title, location and actors. The suggestions are written on various colored post-it notes and selected at random by audience members. The performer’s prediction, in full view the entire time, is opened by a spectator to reveal a full color poster with the exact same title imagined by the audience, complete with photos of the featured actors and the named location. The Bourne Impossibility A devious and foolproof revelation using a choice of three Jason Bourne paperbacks by Robert Ludlum. A spectator simply thinks of a random page number of their choosing (they never name it out loud) and you reveal the essence of what they just read! This can be revealed verbally, in writing, or as a drawing. The paperbacks are ungaffed and can be given out as souvenirs. Serial Killer A super easy serial number divination. Borrow one or more dollar bills. Place the bills on a page of the OmniPad and hand it to a spectator to choose a bill. You immediately describe what state the bill was printed, then name the entire serial number. And the spectator keeps the bill! Super Fan Have several people write random sports scores (bowling, basketball, baseball, etc.) then pass the sheet from the OmniPad (initialed by an audience member) to another spectator who adds up the scores. The total matches your sealed prediction, which is a photo of a scoreboard with the correct final score. Remote Viewing A spectator draws or writes anything (an object, name, numbers, abstract shape, etc.) and you immediately duplicate it. OmniPad comes with the special pad that does all the work, a detailed full color e-manuscript for the above routines, easy care instructions and more. Best of all, the OmniPad is so functional and innocent looking that you can use it casually in all your routines so that it becomes “invisible” in your audience’s mind.

Thank you for your input Mark. Will you be making a demo?

My pleasure. I'm not planning to make a demo, as most of my performances are private corporate events. I'm not a fan of staged "performance videos", but hey, that's just me. If you have any questions about a handling or a fine point for any of my products, Stealthboard, Magnum or OmniPad, feel free to email me directly. Cheers.

What is the size of the pad and can it be instantly reset?
|

Perceptionist New user 31 Posts |
OmniPad Mini 5 x 3 1/2 ” x 3/4" (100+ pages) - Carry with you everywhere and slip it into your hip pocket or jacket pocket.
OmniPad Stage 8 1/2 x 6 x 3/4" - Perfect for parlor and stage performances, yet still compact enough to fit in a messenger bag or briefcase. The switch function is instantly resettable. The impression surface can be cleared and reset in under 5 seconds with adequate cover (such as a brief case, stack of books on a table, etc.) You can even reset in the hand with appropriate misdirection.

The mark up seems a little excessive for buying this over here in the uk, if I convert the prices from uk to USA, I am paying 85 dollars for just the small pad...

Dad's announcement:
"The new OMNIPAD is a direct ripoff of my Nematode. As you may recall, this is the same chap who, a couple of years ago, marketed inferior knockoffs of my Brown Hornet Technology. When I spoke to him then, he was apologetic and claimed he had taken his products off the market. As it turns out, he didn't, but the word was out so I let it go. Once could be coincidence--twice is deliberate piracy. Please do not support this kind of blatant piracy." Just so you know... FYM |

Reading what it is and owning a nematode - sounds indeed like a rip off
Hmmm or maybe he thinks if he combines both the hornet and nematode into one - he created something new when in fact that would constitute double rip off? Hey perceptionist will you comment?????

Dad says he's made a "Combo" pad for a couple of people who've asked. He's also made the Nematode in all sizes on request. He hasn't had a chance to make this obvious option on his website yet as he's very busy. I think he was has been in three different states this month. But since he makes the Butterfly available in all sizes and shapes, he assumed it would be self-evident all the devices can be built into any existing pad.
When we made the Nematode instructional video Dad said he hoped the ideas presented on the DVD would inspire creativity and he hoped to hear of other ideas the mentalists would come up with. He and Christian painter brainstormed and came up with other applications he wants to release on a follow-up DVD. But frankly, Dad is getting tired of having to deal with this sort of tomfoolery. He is primarily a performer and the items he makes are released as a sideline. He has three college degrees, one in engineering and two in art, so he honors the concepts of innovation and creativity. Unlike many, Dad doesn't claim ownership of every mentalism concept in the universe. But he ferociously defends his right to the Brown Hornet Technology and won't tolerate ripoffs. FYM |

Just saw Rigg's update on his website. This is bad. I'll stick with the Riggs items even when the prices increase.
