I am not from Tennessee, but how far are you from Gatlinburg. That is the only place I have heard there is magic going on. Maybe you can ask around. I heard they have some kind of magic going on there or an amusement park that has a magic shop. Been a long time, but I think they do have some kind of magic event held there.
If your are really interested, the Internet seems like it has every questions you could think of, and they have all been answered. So if you want to know about magic conventions, then just Google it. There are other sources, but here is a listing of current magic conventions for this year. http://conventions.magicmagazine.com/all/date This does not usually show the really small conventions, as they have to let the magic magazines know, and many do not. There are even 1 day magic conventions. This does not take into account any local talent contests as well. Again, you will have to search them out yourself, maybe try your cities visitors bureau or the local newspaper. Call, because some have events waiting to be published. |

I've been to a couple meetings for IBM Ring 252 and I'm about to join, they had a small show back on May 3 and 4, but I'm looking for magic competitions where several magicians perform and the best one gets some sort of prize. It seems that the closest convention is in Louisville, KY, that's alright, maybe next year, I don't know of any small, local conventions. And I'm about 4 hours from Gatlinburg. Thanks, Roy.
