Has anyone else read the "Secret Document" that Steve Fearson is pitching? http://www.downloadmagic.com/smdoc/index.htm
I bought it thinking that the story was just a clever marketing gimmick but there are some very strange things in there. It really has me thinking. The stuff about the staff to snake is going to have a lot of magicians scratching their heads. I am dumbfounded. where the heck did this information come from? I want to believe the story is fake but this Station Manager guy really does deliver the goods. What is this Steve? |

It certainly seems too good to be true. Hypnotism?
I'm very intrigued. But would you buy it? |

So where you able to perform this in one day as advertised?
I heard about remote viewing years ago on the Art Bell radio show .. interesting stuff. Tell us more? |

I did it the first day and it got a good reaction. I am getting a lot better at it now though. It's not a regular magic trick because you have to pretend to fail like the whole time. That's not as easy as it sounds. I think it's the perfect thing if you can play David Blaine style and have confidence in youself to pull it off till the end. The end is heavy it makes them feel something weird that is true. Like that it is beyond a magic trick. I don't think it makes them go insane though.
The story part was cool and that to me was worth the 20 by itself. I love Lord of the Rings and Matrix and Alien stuff and it was like that but with Magicians and psychics too. Somebody online figured out that the trick really is used today by psychics like Uri Geller so that means at least that much of the story is true. I hope it's not all true, that would be too much! web |

That's very interesting. I am unclear on exactly what to imagine when reading about it. Is it some sort of hypnotism? I have heard of some dangerous ways of getting people to be completley suggestive but it is extremely dangerous and illegal.
Webbandit2000, you said you did it the first day and got good reactions. Is it just one effect or a basic principle of some sort that can be applied to many effects? I have gotten people to the state of mind where I can do a simple effect (which under normal circumstances would be not that impressive) to be completley blown away. This is only because of the frame of mind I have "guided" them into. The point where they stop trying to figure it out and they let go of realistic thinking. Is it similar in this approach? |

No no, nothing like hypnosis. It's a real simple method anybody could do but I think you need to have the right personality for it. You need to be able to look like you're really trying hard and are confused when you are really setting up the ending.
That's easy for me because I'm always trying out stuff I don't know how to do yet! I think it's best to do this first and follow up by forcing a card and have them stare at the card while you draw it. It makes the card force a lot stronger. web |

I would really like a little bit more information on this because I'm so intrigued but don't know exactly what it is.
Webbandit2000 can you just say what the actual effect is or the effects that are possible? Is it really worth $20 and is the disclaimer on the ad just a little marketing ploy? |

It's just the one trick called remote viewing to draw the same picture as someone else. But it's not laid out like a regular magic trick. It's meant more to make them really believe you have the power.
It is worth the 20 if you are into that kind of thing. I got this off his site from a customer staement-- "This minreading / design-duplication concept is so clever and bold, yet simple and absolutely workable.. It goes directly into my impromptu arsenal! I LOVE IT!" Dr. Ralf Froehlich PS..How about raising prices for stuff like this? I would have happily paid $100! ..this is too good to be in everyone's hands! Looks like some people like it and some think it stinks or doesn't work. I think you are right that the ad is a real good marketing idea. I've read it like 10 times now and it gets weirder every time. web |
