People get bogged down in books and never go anywhere.

Instead of overgeneralizing, why not just speak for yourself?

Example: "**I, Olympic Adam** get bogged down in books and never go anywhere."

sorry, forgot you knew everything about me

I must have been listening to too much wonder words rather than just reading a book

when people ask for suggestions here it's always just 'read a book', it's potentially not that simple,
yes the old books are good but only if you know what to do with a lot of old methods and how to get them up-to-date,

people should have fun, I was trying to suggest some other options

we should probably make use of new ways of learning and teaching

I second Bob's suggestion of Osterlind Mind Mysteries, get number one and try them all out, you might not like all the routines but you will learn something from that. I think it will get you started quicker than a book in the first instance.

????

I simply recommended the list of books in my "39 Steps to Mentalism."

Apologies Bob, I mistook a post by Mind Guerrilla for one by you, sorry!

Anyway, you could do a lot worse than Mind Mysteries, I second Mind Guerrilla's suggestion
