Just a thought here...

If anyone else has been keeping up with the rumors regarding Apple's next phones and operating systems - does anybody else have a similar worry about this affecting various apps that we all use?

One example would be the amazing Unlock App we are all just starting to play with. If the next iOS indeed uses a fingerprint scanner (as opposed to a pass code), it immediately alters this powerful routine we are just developing!

Anyone have any stories to share, positive or negative of magic apps in the past that were made less (or more) effective?

Here are some links to various tech reports:

Magicsms was a fantastic app rendered useless by iOS 5. The lockscreen is said to be getting a major overhaul in iOS 7.

Hi Dynamix,

All apps developed by Salah Aazedine "iUnlockYourMind" and "HandzOFF" will continue to be updated. If or when apple decide to change anything regarding the lockscreens look or functions, we will take that challange on and update iUnlockYourMind accordingly.

Best

Definitely nice to see creators commit to their products. Bravo mr rostami and mr Phillips!

Mark, I still use magicsms quite frequently? It actually blows my spectators away. What issues are you having with it? That it looks old?

Wow. I'm still on iPhone 4. You're telling me neither mindreader nor magic SMS work on iPhone 5?!

Major bummer. They are both parts of longer routines that I purposely link together to great effect. For example I follow up mental yarn with mindreader (the object version not the cards). Such a natural link, two routines where people pick up or put down imaginary objects, yet totally different methods.

Gonna have to think about some things...

Magic SMS uses iOS 3 notifications we are now on iOS 6 and a lot of iPhone users have never even seen the old notifications and so it is very hard to get away with magic SMS if there are iPhone users watching.

I know it definitely looks and feels older but I've done this on plenty of iPhone users and for some reason they haven't noticed. Maybe I've just been lucky. I think they are more focused on the reveal and forget exactly what they are looking at.

I should also point out that I ascertain the card secretly, I never do the "name it out loud" presentation because it played so much weaker. I'm wondering if psychologically they are so suprised a text has appeared they forget that it looks older.
