Nicolette Larson died far too young.
Some folks compared her beauty and spirit to that of Karen Carpenter. She also had a track on the original "Arthur" film starring Dudley Moore. Here is a modern mix of Nicolette's only number one hit, Lotta Love. If you liked this song back then you owe it to yourself to give it a listen. She kind of resembles Magic Laurie, to me at least. |

I agree as well She did have a great voice. She also seemed to have a pretty good sense of humor. I remember a while back coming across a live version of "Lotta love" of youtube. The band started out playing "whole lotta love" by Led Zepplin, She then stops the band telling them no no, it's "lotta love", they need to play. I have no idea how to put the link to it on here, otherwise I would.

Dr Delusion, I tried to find your link on You Tube to no avail.
The closest I came was an Easter Seals performance. If you have the link I would love to see it. I find it very humbling that after all is said and done, your existence is noted by a simple plaque on the ground over your remains. Luckily we have her music to remind us. She was a backup singer for Linda Rondstadt, The Doobie Brothers, Van Halen, Neil Young and many others. She was also Valerie Bertinellie's maid of honor. Nicolette's daughter Elsie May is now performing with her own band. |

It's not the plaque or tombstone ever...
It's the memories. And, for musicians such as her, it's the music.

Hey Devious, I just took a quick look and can't seem to find it either. It was about a year ago I came across it. I'll keep looking and see if I can come across it.

Ok, no worries and many thanks Dr Delusion.
@Pakar, I completely agree on that. We can only hope as magicians that our performances leave an indelible impression on some of our former participants. |

One of my favorite Garth Brooks songs never got radio play but the chorus goes: "There are two dates in time that they'll carve on your stone, and everyone knows what they mean, but what's more important is the time that is known on that little dash there in between."

I took a few minutes of my life to visit Nicollette's final
resting place...yesterday again..there were no flowers so I placed her favourite Lillies there. I was interrupted by a freakin helicopter, my son used to play my sound tracks during my live performance of which this was one of them and he wept... I Love You All... |
