Goodmorning all,
I am looking for help for some resourches, maybe effects to look at for a stand up gamble effect. By stand up I mean surrounded withiut a table. I have been searching threw my own archive (Ortiz, Malone,Vincent, Thompson) and not finding anything yet. Maybe I am overlooking or need to search at a different direction. I am an advanced card magician, sleights or learning sleights are no problem. My routine starts with the Ball & Nett where I replace the net for the hands of the spectator. The theme is gambling. Really looking foreword to you guy's to help me in the right direction. Best regards, Ronald |

Even though it's a packet trick, you should check out GT's Stand-up Monte. It is a very nice routine that plays well with the audience and you can have them examine the cards at the end.

Examine the cards at the end? Not without some changed handling. I've been thinking about it and you actually need to hand out six ungimmicked cards (not needed for the routine itself) to avoid any major discrepansies.
But that aside, I would also recommend "Stand Up Monte", it's perfect for the situation. Maybe a gambling themed in-the-hands chop cup routine?

I like doing Lorayne's Monte Plus Plus. You can do it without a table as well.
Definitely a vote for Stand-Up Monte though.

Also came to think of it, if you're not limited to using cards only, you could probably do a which hand-effect. Either with money (or poker chips) or at least with a gambling theme.

Goodmorning guys
Thnx for your input, when I saw fast and loose I realized I have looked into this from Johnny Thompson (Endless Chain). Very nice. I discover also James Swain and some gamble routines, also very nice. My quest will go on |

It's The Rules by Bob Sheets is a great trick with un-gimmicked dice. I prefer to use 1 inch dice.

One of the most entertaining packet tricks ever is Color MOnte. It can be done without a table if you are willing to let the spectator handle the cards for a moment or two.
