Critter- You could always rent "Bubba Ho-Tep" and watch Elvis and JFK battle an ancient mummy!
It's really one of my favorite off the wall movies, with Ozzie Davis as JFK (!) and Bruce Campbell as Elvis. |

It was good. When I watched it I wasn't expecting it to be so slow so that caught me off guard.

______________________________________________________________________________________ Melodically and harmonically jazz, blues and rock all owe everything to European music. ______________________________________________________________________________________ "I suggest listening to some tunes from Sonny Terry and Brownie MacGee, especially to Sonny Terry's singing and harmonica playing. All the shouts/screaming and harmonica complex sounds really connects to African music, at least for my ears. It reminds me of the chants I've heard so many times in Brazil in any candomble reunions (candomble is an african-related religion very popular in Brazil). Again, this is only my impression, but I think that African music is so rich and complex that it would be difficult to say if there's any connection between the blues and African rythms without knowing them in detail. Another suggestion: Listen to the songs from the album Savane by Ali Farka Toure. Sounds very bluesy to me. And here's a funny quote from Ali himself: "The blues doesn't mean anything to us. Blues is a color. The music I'm playing is very ancient and it's the father to what you do." - Joao F. A. Nascimento http://www.amazon.com/review/R3CS3JDVPLJ......sHelpful

Oh wait, it was obviously Albert Einstein, son of a Tasmanian apple farmer, who split the beer atom in order to put the bubbles back into beer and used his invention of Rock 'n Roll to drain off the excessive energy of a nuclear reactor gone critical;
