Has anyone heard of this? It's a service that offers "nicknames" for your cell phone number.

Apparently it only works for the major networks in the USA (ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint) (both from and to cell phones)

It looks like you can set it up to either

-Ring to your cell phone
-Send them a text (sms)
-Send them your vcard (sms)

I just registered **MAGICMAN I only wish I had heard about this earlier so I could have snagged **MAGIC

Right now I have it set up to send my contact details. Feel free to call **MAGICMAN on your mobile to see what comes back.

Michael...thank you for sharing this info. We got what we wanted yesterday. People definitely have to move quickly or most things will be gone.

I got mine yesterday as well. I think it is fairly cheap advertising for a year. If people have a hard time remembering an actual number, they may remember a word easier. Thanks for the heads up on this feature.

Ever since the cell phone boom, vanity numbers have all but disappeared, so this is very inviting.

I just locked up "**MINDREADR." I think this is pretty cool stuff. Worth giving it a try.
