I've not seen those previously. I expect they are similar to the brass Indian embossed cups. I'll find out soon, I've just ordered a set...
Grrr, impulse buys!

Looking forward to your thoughts on these, Bri.

Based solely on the photo, I suspect your comparison to the Indian embossed cups will prove to be accurate.

They do look nice, concerned that they are very light/thin.

These are available from Penguin. I should have a set in a day or so.

My "Spanish" cups arrived this morning. No indication of what country they were manufactured in. Contour is similar to the Uday Monti style cups.

The packaging is atrocious. In order to squeeze the cups into the box, the packers literally squeezed the cups, resulting in cups with an oval shape, rather than circular. This should be easy to fix with hand pressure, because the metal is quite thin.

The cups are quite light -- 2.2 oz. including the plastic film that was placed on them by someone.

They come with four crocheted balls and a velvet bag.

There are tables in Las Vegas named after what these cups are. (Hint: It involves dice.)

Fortunately, the metal is quite malleable, so it isn't difficult to squeeze these back into shape.

They are only $48. I only perform for fun and with cups rarely, so I kind of want them if they look good.

Is this pic accurate?

The cups look somewhat like the cups in the photo. However, the photo is very low resolution, and the cups are handmade, so they will each look a little different.

Copy the photo and paste it into your favorite piece of photo manipulation software. Increase its size 500% each way. Then look at the result. This might give you a better idea of what you will be getting.

The cups are not actually ugly, by any means. If you have $55.00 that you can spare (remember that you have to pay for shipping, too.) go ahead and get them. The design might lend itself to some interesting scripting.

Thank you very much Mr. Palmer! Your expertise and time is greatly appreciated.

Penguin has free shipping with a $50 order, so I'll wait until I need some cards, etc.

Mine arrived this morning and there's nothing really to add to Bill's description. Fortunately mine were not out of round when they arrived, however the box was very tight fitting. These are acceptable for the money, though too light for my liking and quite small.

Bill, your wit and wisdom is greatly appreciated and your review confirmed my suspicions of these cup. Sounds as if they are is exactly as I expected them to be.

Thanks again.
