I recently received, from my friend Tommy, an effect called: The ACAAN Finale. He asked me to test it.

It is basically an ACAAN effect where the deck is in full view from the beginning.

A spectator mentally selects a card from an imaginary deck and a number from an imaginary urn like in a lottery game.

The named card appears at named number without the performer ever touching the deck.

The performance is exactly like this one. The effect appears as a perfect ACAAN in the spectator's mind.

Nothing happens before the effect, no multiple phase, just a single effect.

This will the next ACAAN by Tommy. Soon available.

What activities can the words "selects" and "appears" encompass? Far too many to make this description informative.

Ask the author, he will be more inclined to answer with more detail...

Why, when you're the one who posted about it, saying you had the effect. One would expect a more unbiased answer from you, even being friends, than from the creator.

So far all you've done is provide little more than ad copy.

Not trying to criticize, just doesn't seem to make much sense. Seemed like you would want to discuss the effect, considering you started the thread.

Give the creator credit. We haven't heard of an imaginary urn in the effect before.

I can't help but think that unless a creator has come up with a way to truly replicate the "holy grail" effect they should perhaps forget it. We've surely all bought enough "almost but not quite" versions. Do we really need another?

this new ACAAN was my current method. I like a lot this presentation, so I decided to share it in a new pdf.

The ACAAN will be remembered like a perfect ACAAN. In this effect the presentation is everything.

Card selection is something like this: You ask your participant to imagine that you have deck of cards in your
hands, you toss this deck in midair and he must catch a card. You ask him to name out loud his card and this card
is the selected card. A similar process is done with the number part, but using an urn with 52 balls.

The entire procedure is performed with an imaginary deck and an imaginary urn.

With the card and the number, you ask the participant to imagine to remove the deck from its box and to move named card
at named number inside the deck.

After this part, you ask the spectator to remove the deck from the box and to check if the card is there.

1/6 (or 1/3 if you perform this effect with 2 participants) the effect is a perfect ACAAN. 5/6 or 2/3 the effect will be remembered
like a perfect ACAAN.

Is it magician fooler? No, this effect is just for no magician.

Is this the Holy Grail??? I don't thing that this effect is the holy grail.

Is it easy to perform? Maybe it requires a bit of practice.

Just a comment: The performance is hands off, the spectator touches the card only to count the cards, the performer never. For this reason the effect will be like the ideal acaan.v

You say that a bit of practice is required...
If the deck is on the table from the start and the spec. takes the deck out to count the cards???
What's left to practice...throwing an imaginary deck in the air???

The deck is never touched, but this doesn't mean that the effect doesn't require a bit of pratice.
Here everthing is the presentation, if your presentation is not so good the effect could be not so good.
Requires a bit of pratice in order to perform what the effect requrire (No sleight of hand the effect is totally hands off).
