What gives? PDF is as close to a universal format as you can find in the world of online documents. And it works just find on the Kindle E-Reader. I have numerous PDFs on my kindle and they work fine. A huge thank you to CARC for making these available.

The date was meant to be August 11th, not August 18th. Apologies for any confusion, that was a typo on our part.
We will honor our advertisement. You can download the The Royal Road to Card Magic for free through August 18th using this (case-sensitive) coupon code: FREERoyalRoad Enjoy! Conjuring Arts Team

The big issue is how to handle text flow. If you are trying to read things on a tablet or especially a cell phone, the PDF format (proprietary) is inferior. By design, it tries to make the document appear the same on every screen, as if it were an image. EPUB (native browser languages based - HTML/XML) is designed to allow the document to adjust to the screen. There are other differences, and it keeps evolving, but in general, if you want to take your documents with you to read on a cell phone, EPUB is the way to go. If you want to print it and have it look like the book it was adapted from, you most likely want PDF. |

I haven't had the time to really dig in to Personal Collection yet (I've been so busy lately and magic, although I love it, is just a hobby at the moment).
But considering that my physical collection of Harry Lorayne books consists of: Classic Collection 1-4 Apocalypse 1-4 Best of Friends 1-3 Card Classics of Ken Krenzel Doug Edwards Packs a Wallop The Magic Book Special Effects The Memory Book Miracle Math Memory Power Course ...I'm guessing that I will really love the material. I mentioned this in another thread but the post was deleted (due to quoting another user). When you bring out your memoir, it would be great if you could possibly include a CD with the book that had stories/interviews/performances/whatever archived footage you wanted to share. I learned about you just 'recently' (past 10 years) and I and many others would love to get to get a chance to see more of you in your element. Little gems like the youtube video titled "Reputation Makers" where you're performing is a joy to watch. That's why I was a little let down that the Penguin lecture fell through. Can't wait to get your memoir. Your work on memory and magic and been a blessing and a cherished part of my life. |

Well, the news is out, our big finale ending our summer reading program is (drum roll)...
The Entire Original Tarbell Course in Magic! Yes you can now get our brand new, excellent text based version of the whole 1243 pages as a text and image PDF. Because of this format we predict it will work on all current Kindles as well as everything else that reads PDFs. Mahdi Gilbert worked like mad for weeks to make sure this all looks amazing and also it's now only about 72MB! We hope you will enjoy this amazing course in magic (with much valuable historical info too). Team CA

And amazing it does look. I use a Galaxy Note 10.1 with ezPDF reader pro and all the offerings came out perfect. The Tarbell was a very pleasant suprise and looks awesome on my tablet. Thank you guys very much for the wonderful summer reading program. I use the books a lot while sitting in chemotherapy for hours at a time. They help pass the time and keep my mind on something I enjoy.
